Flowville

Our team of Elliot Pike, Hugo Leo, Don Tran, and Myself began this journey of creating our masterplan through multiple avenues and research. Initially beginning creating the form finding. We found the correct method into capturing our form making system from there, we iterated. Each form we looked deeper into the analytics and questioning the reasons on how it behaved. The information we gathered assisted us in creating 3D forms with the capability of behaving in the same way. We could see how these forms work with people and what would most likely be beneficial. Meanwhile we were still visiting and researching thoroughly the history, the elemental impacts, and the social aspects of North Wharf Pier in Docklands. Our research brought us to the point of Flowville. We believe that our site is capable in achieving our desired vision of creating identity to the site through user circulation, layered experience, and their new connection with Yarra River. The project has taught me the analytics on a macro scale right through to deeper understandings and reasoning on micro. From this project we can implement from start to finish a new site approximately 80,000sqm from a single drop of water.
